FunctionThis is a faculty position reports to the Chair, Department of Interventional Radiology, who reports to the Head, Division of Diagnostic Imaging. The primary location to practice will be at one of the outlying MD Anderson Houston Area Locations (HALs) with rotations to the main campus.

The Department of Interventional Radiology is seeking candidates for a clinical faculty appointment due to growth of our procedure volumes and facilities. The final rank of this appointment will be commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications. The clinical practice of the Department of Interventional Radiology encompasses a broad scope of image‑guided interventions and therapies, with a particular focus on Interventional Oncology.
This HALS faculty position will include a substantial portion of clinical time at The Woodlands, while maintaining full integration within the Department of Interventional Radiology and an academic appointment at the main campus. The selected candidate may also be asked to spend clinical time at other existing (West Houston) or future HALs if needed. The selected candidate will also have dedicated clinical time at the Texas Medical Center, in addition to call responsibilities.
This individual will become part of a multidisciplinary team made up of medical, surgical, and radiation oncologists dedicated to excellence in cancer care. Faculty in these positions will engage in a variety of clinical and academic responsibilities, including performing procedures, managing outpatient visits, providing inpatient care, teaching trainees, and contributing to scholarly initiatives. In addition to superb practice skills, our ideal candidate would possess strong leadership, vision, and interpersonal abilities essential to building a successful clinical practice in the Houston community.
Chair of the Department of Interventional Radiology
Education and Licensure- Medical degree
- Board certification by the American Board of Radiology within five years of hire
- CAQ certified (or eligible if a recent graduate) in Interventional Radiology
- Licensure by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners or Faculty Temporary License
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
