Lone Star College-Health Science BuildingThe LSC‑Tomball Health Science Building is a 60,000‑square‑feet three‑story complex that houses the Surgical Technology, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Nursing and Pharmacy Technology programs. The facility provides numerous classrooms, a medical library, simulation labs, an operating room, a clean room, a sterile room and additional educational resources. Location address is 700 Graham Dr., Tomball, TX 77375.
Job DescriptionPURPOSE AND SCOPE
Pharmacy Technology Classroom and Laboratory Skills Instructors work with faculty to provide students with hands‑on experience in a controlled laboratory environment. Part‑time Skills Instructors are hired on an as‑needed basis, and may not work more than 19.5 hours per week. Skills Instructors may work days or evenings with occasional weekends as assigned, depending on the needs of the department.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSSKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must be able to perform all practice skills required to meet the standards of the program
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS- Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
- Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
- Work is performed in a climate‑controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
- Current CPR certification must include adult, child and infant CPR and obstructed airway for each age group; certification required within 90 days of starting
- Currently certified as a Pharmacy Technician or other certificate or license as deemed sufficient by the Program Director
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Hourly Pay Rate is $29.68
