Team Leader, Water / Wastewater – Houston, TX / The Woodlands, TX
Halff has an immediate opening for a Team Leader to office in either our Woodlands TX or Houston TX location. The ideal candidate will bring at least 12 years of civil engineering experience with a focus on Water/Wastewater in the consulting industry and working with, or for, public sector and private sector clients. The successful candidate should have experience in designing and managing Water/Wastewater Utility and/or Facility projects, with a capacity to make decisions independently and resolve complex problems.

What you will do:- The successful candidate should be community-minded with the capacity to lead, mentor, and inspire a team of multi-experienced engineers, make independent decisions, resolve complex problems, engage in business development and client management.
- Halff's water and wastewater practice are primed for growth and we are looking for someone to lead the way in growing this practice within our firm and in the East Texas area.
- In addition to project delivery responsibilities, candidates must be able to perform business development, manage budgets, personnel, schedules, sub consultants, and client interaction.
- The candidate must also have the ability to support operations managers and practice leaders in business development and pursuit of Water/Wastewater opportunities.
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
- 12-15 years plus of experience with Water/Wastewater projects, involving treatment processes, water pipeline, sanitary sewer, and/or pump facility design, modeling and planning
- Licensed PE, preferably in Texas or can obtain immediately
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be self-directed, yet a team player comfortable with leading and directing others, with a focus and drive for quality, integrity and success
- Experience leading a project team
- Experience with marketing and business development
- Experience with interacting with clients and leading projects
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, and sub-consultants
- Experience with treatment processes and/or modeling is desired, but not required.

- Interdisciplinary team can provide full services from land development to treatment facility design.
- Our teams have completed hundreds of miles of pipeline projects including new, replacement and rehabilitation for sizes up to 120-inches in diameter.
