The Project Controller supports the financial and operational success of construction projects by delivering precise cost control, schedule performance tracking, and contract compliance. This role is ideal for someone who excels in data‑driven project oversight, understands the realities of field execution, and is fluent in Oracle Primavera Cloud and Oracle Unifier as core project‑controls platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Project Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Oracle Primavera Cloud. Create resource‑loaded schedules to optimize labor, equipment, and material allocation. Ensure compliance with company standards and client requirements for scheduling and reporting.
- Cost Management & Forecasting: Build and maintain detailed cost forecasts, cash‑flow models, and budget baselines using Oracle Unifier and related ERP tools.
- Progress Measurement & Earned Value Tracking: Track planned vs. actual progress, support earned value reporting and integrate schedule and cost data through OPC. Validate subcontractor invoices, track quantities, manage change events, and ensure documentation accuracy within Oracle Unifier workflows.
- Risk & Opportunity Analysis: Identify cost and schedule risks, evaluate potential savings, and support mitigation planning with project leadership. Produce monthly cost reports, productivity dashboards, and KPI summaries using OPC analytics and Unifier reporting modules. Prepare and present schedule reports, forecasts, and progress updates to stakeholders.
- Field & Office Coordination: Partner with site teams, estimators, procurement, and PMs to maintain accurate cost, schedule, and progress data.
- Process & Systems Optimization: Improve project controls processes, templates, and system configurations to enhance accuracy and efficiency across Oracle platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, finance, or related field
- 3–5 years of project controls experience in construction
- Hands‑on experience with Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC) and Oracle Unifier
- Strong understanding of cost codes, WBS structures, and construction workflows
- Proficiency with scheduling tools, ERP systems, and advanced Excel
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills
- Experience in heavy civil, commercial, or industrial construction is a plus
- Attention to detail in cost and quantity tracking
- Ability to interpret drawings, schedules, and field reports
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Collaborative mindset with field and office teams
