Cobb Fendley is seeking an experienced Senior Designer in The Woodlands or Houston, Texas Office.

The successful candidate's most important qualifications include the following.

• Minimum of seven years of experience in the design, operation, or maintenance of overhead and underground distribution lines (4 kV through 35 kV). Prior utility design experience or distribution line work would be highly preferred.
• Possess an in-depth knowledge of overhead and underground electric distribution systems, subdivisions, industrial complexes, data centers and dual power feeds.
• Associate degree in electrical technology or related field from an accredited college or university. Other education and work experience may be considered acceptable for this position.
• Must possess experience in creating construction drawings for electric distribution design.
• Assist in guiding and mentoring Electric Distribution Designers.
• Provide expertise and support to large scale projects by managing budget, delegating task, coordinating with contractors, and project close out.
• Knowledge of permits which are required for electric distribution installations.
• Shall have a working knowledge of the practices and procedures pertaining to technical matters in one or more of the following areas:
  Utility Electrical
• Engineering and electric utility construction knowledge of GIS and AutoCAD.
• Experience in GDT or ArcFM is a plus.

• Engage directly with clients to gather requirements, present technical solutions, and provide regular project updates; ensure alignment of deliverables with client expectations.
• Mentor junior designers & support team development through knowledge sharing and quality review.
• Apply the client's standards, guidelines, specifications, practices, and procedures and/or appropriate industry standards in preparing layouts of overhead and/or underground electric distribution facilities.
