This Sr. Federal and State Tax Analyst will assist in the preparation of various tax returns and participate in related research projects.

• Assist in preparing Federal & State tax returns.
• Assist in Federal & State tax partnership return compliance.
• Support quarterly tax provisions.
• Assist in analyzing Federal & State tax law changes and their impact on Repsol.
• Support various areas of tax planning as needed.
• Research various tax topics and prepare memorandums.
• Consult with Management to develop positions that satisfy reasonable tax planning objectives.

• The legal authorization to work in the U.S. for any U.S. employer.
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s in Accounting.
• 5+ years of tax experience (public accounting or oil & gas experience a plus).
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities.
• Flexibility to take on new tasks with a teamwork mentality.

• MBA or Master’s in Tax, CPA a plus.
• Knowledge of Oil & Gas.
• Knowledge/experience with Alaska State worldwide apportionment and Alaska production tax.
• Previous experience with State tax audits.
• Previous experience with writing tax opinions and memos.
• Systems knowledge (SAP, One Source tax software).
• Knowledge of working with Bloomberg Tax research or similar tools.
