- Salary Range: $64,567 – $109,113

Upon the order of a qualified provider, the Ultrasound Technologist utilizes equipment that employs high‑frequency sound waves for diagnostic purposes in accordance with the KSC Radiology Department and Kelsey‑Seybold Clinic policies, procedures, and protocols. Imaging services vary by location, so performance of hysteroscopy and/or vascular ultrasound may be required depending on the assigned site. The Technologist will use the designated Radiology Information System (RIS) for clerical processes and the designated Patient Archiving System (PACS).
Other duties, technical or non‑technical, may be assigned if training, experience, and credentials are deemed adequate by the supervisor.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Education sufficient for applicant status with ARDMS or ARRT (S).
- Preferred:
Bachelor of Science—Health‑care related degree.
- UST I – None.
- UST II – Minimum 1‑year clinical ultrasound experience (may be met through completion of a formal training program).
- UST III – Minimum 2 years ultrasound experience (may be met through completion of a formal training program).
- Preferred: 3 or more years of ultrasound experience, PACS and RIS experience.
- Required:
UST I – RDMS or RT(R)(S) or current applicant to ARDMS or ARRT (S) and must obtain one of these certifications within 1 year of hire date. - UST II – RDMS with a minimum of 2 specialty registries or RT(R)(S) with a minimum of 2 specialty registries.
- UST III – RDMS with minimum 2 specialty ultrasound registries and either an RVT or RVS, or RT(R)(S) with an RVT or RVS.
- All levels must hold BCLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Required:
Ability to use a computer keyboard and understand digital image acquisition. - Preferred:
Bilingual or multi‑lingual.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
