We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) with a strong background in Specialty Pharmacy and Mail Order operations that specializes in Sterile & Non-Sterile Compounding in the Functional Medicine/Wellness Industry
.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations, and overseeing accreditation processes. This individual must be highly knowledgeable of Texas Pharmacy Board regulations and experienced in accreditation standards for NABP, ACHC, URAC, or other applicable bodies.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge
, ensuring all pharmacy operations comply with Texas Pharmacy Board regulations and rules, as well as all federal laws. - Oversee and manage all aspects of mail-order and specialty pharmacy operations
, including staff supervision, workflow optimization, and regulatory compliance. - Obtain/Maintain active and compliant pharmacy licenses
. Must be licensed in the State of Texas
. Preference to those with licenses in multiple states. - Demonstrate a clear understanding of accreditation processes and maintain standards for NABP, ACHC, URAC
, or other relevant accrediting organizations. - Lead and support quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives related to pharmacy operations and accreditation.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure best practices in clinical and operational workflows.
- Ensure appropriate storage, handling, and dispensing of specialty medications in accordance with regulatory and manufacturer guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including compliance, nursing, sales, and customer service to ensure seamless patient care and operational excellence.
- Provide clinical oversight and support as needed and resolution of medication-related issues.
- Stay current on Texas Pharmacy Board updates, rules, and industry trends.
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the State of Texas (required)
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Pharmacy (required)
- Prior experience in pharmacy leadership or management (required)
- Strong knowledge of Texas Pharmacy Board regulations, rules, and compliance expectations
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and EMRs
- Board Certification or specialty training in relevant areas
- Aseptic Processing Certification
- Proven experience with NABP, ACHC, URAC, or similar accreditation bodies
- Experience in launching or scaling a mail-order or specialty pharmacy operation
- Experience compounding sterile Vitamins/GLP1s

Base Salary
:
Minimum at $140,000
Position is Eligible for Profit Sharing
Experience- Non‑Sterile Compounding: 1 year (Preferred)
- Sterile Compounding: 3 years (Preferred)
