Our state‑of‑the‑art Circularity Center, under construction in Houston, TX, will be the first large‑scale facility in the U.S., designed to process a diverse range of plastic waste and produce 300 million pounds of custom‑formulated feedstock per year, certified to ISCC‑PLUS standards.

Role Overview

Under the direction of the Senior Director of Technology, you will design, develop and maintain data systems and architecture to support manufacturing operations. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimize data collection, processing and analysis for efficiency and quality improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data pipelines and ETL processes to extract, transform and load data from various manufacturing systems.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality assurance and IT teams to understand data requirements and design solutions.
  • Maintain and optimise databases, ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Analyse manufacturing data to identify trends, anomalies and improvement opportunities.
  • Create dashboards and reports for stakeholders to support data‑driven decision making.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to enhance data capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Proven experience in heavy industry or manufacturing as a Data Engineer or similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Fabric, One Lake and Power Apps.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, TSDBs and database management systems (e.g., Postgre

    SQL, SQL Server, Influx, Quest

    DB).
  • Experience developing data ingestion pipelines (Telegraf, Kafka, MQTT, Redpanda).
  • Familiarity with data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop, Flink) and visualization tools (Grafana, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of Python, R or Java programming languages.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Familiarity with data governance and compliance issues.
Experience and Education

Equivalent to five plus years of increasingly responsible experience designing, developing and maintaining data systems for manufacturing operations, working cross‑functionally to optimise data collection, processing and analysis.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, engineering or extensive industry experience.

Certifications:

Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer or Certified Data Management Professional are desirable.

Position Mechanics

Reports to: Senior Director, Technology Systems

Type: Exempt;
Full‑time

Work Hours: Flexible, 8:00‑5:00, on site Monday‑Thursday with Friday work‑from‑home, occasional evenings/weekends as needed.

Location: The Woodlands, TX

Work environment: Primarily an office environment, may involve industrial setting with PPE requirements.

Travel: Minimal – less than 10% to meet with members and attend off‑site meetings.

Physical Demand: Office‑based, occasional lifting and manual work.

Employment eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
