Role Overview

The Network Security Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, tasks, goals, and projects for the Network Security Team. This includes leading, managing and developing support staff, and developing department policies and procedures to ensure KPIs are met while maintaining a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute staffing and scheduling strategies.
  • Manage and develop department personnel; monitor, evaluate, and coach individual performance.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of existing technology systems and processes; develop and implement improvement, replacement, augmentation, and optimization strategies as appropriate.
  • Assist with defining standards and designs security‑related systems; propose and create system design models, specifications, diagrams, and charts.
  • Contribute to the determination of technical and operational feasibility of solutions; evaluate risks and perform cost‑benefit and return‑on‑investment analyses on hardware and software options; propose and document justification of the most viable solutions to aid management in making implementation and purchasing decisions.
Competencies Required
  • Strategic and problem‑solving mindset with strong consulting, analytical, negotiation and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent verbal presentation and technical writing skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with, influence, and convey complex information to people who possess varying levels of understanding.
  • Exceptional organizational, process and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and to instill a sense of urgency in others as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Advanced conceptual, innovative thinking and decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to manage and lead a team of IT Security professionals in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong technical skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft technologies and Windows operating systems; core banking operations technology; networking and server administration; product implementation; solutions architecture and application systems design and integration.

Minimum Qualifications /Experience
  • 7+ years of progressive information technology experience required.
  • 7+ years of relevant security experience, including work as a network or security engineer, systems engineer, architect or technologist required.
Formal Education & Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or Technical Certifications in a related field required.
Work Status
  • Full‑Time.
Supervisory Responsibility
  • 2 or more direct reports.
Travel
  • Up to 5% travel expected.
Working Conditions
  • Conditions involve lifting no more than ten pounds, sitting most of the time, but may involve walking, moving, or standing for brief periods, and occasionally lifting and carrying articles such as files, ledgers, folders, etc.
