SAP Lead Developer

Title: SAP Lead / Developer

Location: The Woodlands, TX

Duration: Contract-to-Hire

Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holder, or Authorized to Work in the US

This role is responsible for building and owning internal SAP capability as the organization transitions away from heavy vendor dependency. The SAP Lead / Developer will serve as a hands‑on technical lead and primary IT liaison to the business.

• Own and support the SAP landscape, providing day‑to‑day break/fix support and minor enhancements
• Lead configuration, light development, and ongoing optimization of SAP platforms
• Own and drive SAP upgrades and enhancements
• Act as the primary IT partner to business stakeholders, translating requirements into SAP solutions
• Manage and oversee third‑party vendors for larger SAP initiatives and implementations
• Ensure SAP best practices, stability, and long‑term scalability

• Lead‑level, hands‑on SAP experience in enterprise environments
• Strong functional and technical experience across:
  • SAP S/4
    
    HANA
  • Success Factors
  • Employee Central & Payroll
  • Workforce Management
• Experience supporting and enhancing live SAP environments, not just project implementations
• Ability to balance strategic ownership with hands‑on execution

• Strong business‑facing and communication skills
• Consultative mindset with the ability to influence and guide stakeholders
• Comfortable owning an environment end‑to‑end, from daily support to major initiatives
• Experience working alongside system integrators and managing vendor relationships
