As a member of the IT Service Delivery team, the Service Now Developer will work in a team setting to deliver IT focused Service Now solutions. The Developer will manage incident tickets, work on enhancements, build/modify catalog items and workflows.
Job Responsibilities- Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and provide best practice advice on Service Now solutions
- Ability to communicate and build relationships with all levels of an organization including both technical and non-technical audiences
- Build new and support existing catalog items and workflows
- Drive automation of common activities, and integrate with common platforms via Integration Hub or with APIs
- Create and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, and Client Scripts
- Demo builds to customers
- Develop, validate and execute comprehensive test plans.
- Contribute to the continual improvement of delivery services processes
- Maintain the health of the CMDB
- Configure Service Now Discovery and Service Mapping
- Configure MID servers
- Maintain Discovery schedules, configure probes, and troubleshoot Discovery issues
- Perform weekly releases
- Assist in analyzing and resolving operational issues
- Create or manage Service Now reports and dashboards
- Participate in planning for and executing on continuous improvement opportunities
- Perform platform family upgrades, resolve skipped records, and complete functional testing
- Stay current with Service Now functionality and offerings
- Strong ownership, accountability, and attention to detail in all work efforts
- 5+ years of broad Service Now experience including:
- ITSM
- Service Portal
- Discovery
- CMDB
- 2+ years of Source to Pay Module, Supplier Lifecycle Management and Vendor Management workspace setup and integrations
- Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- Knowledge of ITIL
- Strong interpersonal skills, and positive customer centric attitude
- Background in application development using technologies like HTML, CSS, JSON, XML, Java Script
