Systems Engineer

• This role is hybrid, 3 days a week onsite in The Woodlands, TX (77380)

We are looking for an Infrastructure Systems Engineer with strong expertise across Azure, VMware, and the Microsoft stack to support and modernize a hybrid, multi-cloud server environment.

This role is hands‑on and operational, with responsibility for stability, scalability, and continuous improvement of server platforms. The role also requires experience supporting Citrix, Microsoft Intune, and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem to enable secure, scalable end‑user computing and device management. This includes designing and maintaining virtual desktop environments, managing endpoint compliance and configuration, and administering core M365 services to support a modern, hybrid workforce.

• Administer and support server environments across Azure, AWS, VMware, and Hyper‑V
• Provision, configure, and maintain virtual machines and cloud compute services
• Support hybrid integrations between on‑prem and cloud platforms
• Execute server builds, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management
• Monitor performance, availability, and capacity; remediate issues proactively
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies
• Partner with application, security, and network teams on infrastructure needs
• Participate in on‑call rotation and incident response as needed
• Maintain clear technical documentation and standards
• Administer and optimize Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments, including image management, performance tuning, and troubleshooting user session issues
• Manage Microsoft Intune for endpoint device enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, application deployment, and security baselines
• Support Microsoft 365 services such as Entra  (Azure AD), Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, One Drive, and Teams, ensuring availability and security
• Implement and maintain conditional access, MFA, and device‑based access controls integrated with Intune and Entra
• Collaborate with security and identity teams to align Citrix, Intune, and M365 configurations with zero‑trust and compliance requirements

• 4+ years of experience in server and infrastructure engineering
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure services, VMware vSphere environments, M365 stack, Citrix virtual apps
• Strong Windows Server administration experience;
  Linux exposure a plus
• Experience with Active Directory and other core infrastructure services
• Power Shell scripting or automation experience
• Troubleshooting skills across virtualized and cloud platforms
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with technical stakeholders

• Amazon Web Services (AWS) compute and networking
• Intune experience
• Microsoft Hyper‑V experience
• Cloud or virtualization certifications (Azure, AWS, VMware)
• Experience supporting infrastructure migrations or modernization initiatives

This position will work 9 hours Monday – Thursday and 4 hours on Friday. The position will work a hybrid schedule. Some flexibility to work off‑hours maintenance as required.
