Construction Supervisor at Entergy
Job SummaryResponsible for the line and service operations of the Network operations. Interfaces with operational, customer service and financial functions in the execution of daily activities.
Responsibilities- Manage safety, service requests, outage restoration, and reliability improvement.
- Lead out‑of‑town storm teams and respond to Customer Issue Resolution complaints.
- Address executive and utility commission complaints and manage network spending.
- Coordinate with the Customer Service Manager to support the local community.
- Conduct safety observations in the field.
- Train and develop all employees to meet qualification standards, set performance expectations, and provide coaching.
- Schedule, assign, and monitor work of construction crews and contract crews, ensuring compliance with company standards and cost estimates.
- Work with Engineering and Contracts to prepare bid packages, assign, commit, and close out construction jobs, and verify completed work assignments.
- Read and interpret construction prints and attend pre‑design and post‑construction meetings.
Minimum ten (10) years of experience in a related field.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to motivate a diverse, geographically dispersed workforce dealing with safety and training issues; influence employees at the craft level; recognize and develop supervisory potential; knowledge of company Safe Work Procedures, Construction Practices, Service Standards, and DIS units; strong computing skills; flexibility to work irregular hours and out‑of‑town assignments; strong leadership, communication, decision‑making, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities;
strong problem‑solving and crisis management; self‑motivation and dependability.

Working ConditionsEmployees are expected to work additional hours, alternate locations, or perform additional duties during storms, outages, emergencies, or other situations as needed. Exempt employees may not receive overtime pay for such duties. Travel may be up to 25% of the time.
LocationThe Woodlands, Texas (Conroe, Cleveland, New Caney, The Woodlands).
