Job Summary- This position manages projects that are typically between $15M to $50M and may handle a portfolio of projects within that range.
- Works with supervisors, contractors, and project team members to deliver projects, focusing on cost, schedule, safety, quality, and risk management.
- Collaborates with the Project Controls Specialist to ensure process alignment and proper project controls implementation.
- Partners with the Finance group to manage costs, controls change, and contingency funds.
- Monitors and coordinates site‑based construction activities performed by contractors, vendors, and employees.
- Provides direct management and support to project team members throughout the project lifecycle.
- Works closely with Business Unit contractor representatives to meet project objectives.
- Ensures compliance with approved policies and procedures.

Job Duties /Responsibilities- Defines the project organization structure and identifies required technical skills.
- Coordinates with functional departments to meet corporate standards and guidelines.
- Oversees the project team and navigates the Entergy Stage Gate process to meet deliverables.
- Develops and maintains the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and executes the project per the plan.
- Implements project controls for scope, schedule, quality, cost, cash flow, risk, contracts, and communications.
- Acts as Contract Manager or Owner's Representative as defined in the project contract.
- Promotes safe behavior and adheres to safety rules on the project site.
- Monitors contractor performance in safety, schedule, cost, quality, and contractual compliance.
- Identifies, communicates, and takes prompt action on project issues that could impact performance.
- Provides clear, timely, and accurate project status reports and presentations to management.
- Delivers projects with cost and schedule certainty; manages and controls costs; identifies and mitigates risks.
- Turns over completed project equipment and systems to the owner with all necessary documentation, training, and instructions.
- Work is performed in both an office setting and in field conditions.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field, or 4 years of equivalent work experience. - Preferred:
Advanced Master’s degree. - Experience:
8 years in Project Management, Construction Management, Electric Utility Industry, or related field. - Skills:
Expert in project and construction management fundamentals; knowledge of engineering science and technology for transmission lines and substations; proven safe performance record; supervisory experience in a matrix organization; excellent written and verbal communication; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management applications; understanding of industry best practices; cross‑functional leadership; effective estimating practices. - Certificates/Licenses: PMP certification preferred; advanced degree preferred.
