PRN Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) - The Woodlands, Tx
Join the US Oncology Network as a PRN Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse in The Woodlands, Texas. This role supports the day‑to‑day operations of our oncology infusion team during Monday‑Friday shifts without weekends, holidays, or on‑call duties.

Responsibilities- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and instructional material.
- Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician.
- Administer all medications and blood products using correct dosage, route, timing, and technique.
- Ensure pre‑authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained before therapy where applicable.
- Facilitate dose modification by assessing patient and labs, consulting protocols or treatment plans, calculating dose, and consulting physicians regarding dosage changes, problems, and symptom management.
- Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line catheter devices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments.
- Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture.
- Education/Training
Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program (BSN preferred). RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Must complete continuing education requirements. - Level I
0–3 years nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred. - Level II
Minimum three (3) years nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred. - Level Senior
Minimum five (5) years nursing experience including at least one year oncology; oncology certification preferred.
The work environment is typical of an oncology/hematology clinic and may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and medical preparations. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.
Physical RequirementsRequires full range of body motion, handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, standing and walking for extended periods, occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs, and corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges.
