Family Nurse Practitioner-The Woodlands/Shenandoah Sparkman Family Medicine Family Nurse Practitioner at Nexus Children's Hospital - Shenandoah Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our healthcare team providing attending services at a specialty hospital facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background as a hospitalist and be adept at delivering comprehensive care to patients ranging from adolescents to geriatrics.

Qualifications
  • Education:

    Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    Current, unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas. Board certification as an FNP (e.g., AANP or ANCC) required. PALS/ACLS.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with specific experience as a hospitalist.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to provide comprehensive care across the lifespan, from adolescents to geriatrics.
    • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills in acute care settings.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
    • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays on a rotational basis.
  • Location:

    Sparkman Family Medicine, The Woodlands, Texas
  • Schedule:

    Full-time, with rounding responsibilities during regular business hours and with on-call duties.
  • Patient Population:
    Adolescents (stable, with some chronic conditions) and geriatrics (acute care needs in the setting of post-acute care such as TBI, Spinal cord injuries and wounds).
  • Annual salary $130,000+ based on experience
