Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

The Woodlands, TX | Acute Care

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Weekend and holiday requirements apply

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit with 12 L&D beds, 4 triage beds, and 2 OR suites dedicated to C-sections
• Circulate and participate in C-section cases; RNs perform their own sections
• Independently read and interpret fetal monitoring strips using the Watch Child monitoring system — no monitor techs on unit
• Float to the Mom/Baby unit on an occasional, as-needed basis
• Follow AWHONN staffing ratio guidelines in all patient care activities
• Participate in a modified self-scheduling model with every-other-weekend commitment and holiday rotation

• Active RN licensure in the state of Texas (or compact eligibility)
• ACLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification required
• Ability to independently read and interpret fetal monitoring strips
• Willingness and ability to float to Mom/Baby as needed

• Prior experience in a high-volume Labor and Delivery setting (unit delivers approximately 160–200 births per month)
• Familiarity with Watch Child fetal monitoring system
• Experience circulating in C-section procedures
• Comfort working alongside surgical techs in an OR-integrated L&D environment

• Work in a well-supported unit with OB/Neonatology and Anesthesia in-house 24/7, a free charge nurse model, and surgical techs on staff
