Job Summary: The Business Development Representative plays a key role in driving growth within the commercial roofing industry by managing existing client relationships and identifying new sales opportunities. This position requires a self‑motivated and results‑driven professional with a proven track record in sales, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a client‑focused environment.
Responsibilities- Maintain and update lead pipelines with current client and bid information to ensure accurate records and support strategic follow‑up.
- Cultivate and strengthen client relationships through phone, email, and in‑person interactions to drive engagement and retention.
- Promote and follow up on tailored proposals and bids to secure new projects and enhance long‑term partnerships.
- Leverage sales analytics to inform and refine outreach strategies, targeting high‑potential opportunities.
- Conduct ongoing research into market conditions, competitor activity, and industry trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and execute business development strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Partner with internal departments and external stakeholders to prepare compelling, customized proposals and bid packages.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a sales role.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a client‑focused approach.
- Strong collaboration abilities and interpersonal effectiveness across teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience using CRM platforms.
- Background in commercial roofing, construction, or related industries.
