Account Manager, Law Enforcement Solutions

Othram is the leading provider of advanced forensic DNA sequencing and investigation technology. We help local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies solve their most challenging cases. Purpose built for forensics, more forensic genetic genealogy cases have been solved with Othram's forensic sequencing platform than any other method.

What it means to manage an Othram account.

While you will be based in Othram's ultra-modern, high-tech office located in The Woodlands, Texas, you will be assigned to a geographic territory where you will service existing accounts and develop new accounts. As the central figure in the life cycle of the account, from onboarding casework, driving revenue, and fostering strong client relationships, you will serve as the face of the company for your accounts.

What You Get to Do Every Day

  • Educate law enforcement accounts on Othram's portfolio of products
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their workflow and how Othram can help them solve unsolvable cases
  • Monitor casework submissions to ensure that customers are able to submit casework to clear their backlogs
  • Gather insights from customers to guide new product development
  • Identify new business opportunities within new and existing accounts through regular outreach via phone calls, customer/site visits, and attending regional conferences
  • Schedule and conduct regular calls to review ongoing cases with clients
  • Thoroughly document all activity within the Salesforce CRM
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure clients are receiving regular updates, including case progress and status reports
  • Project revenue and track key metrics
  • Communicate with agencies to confirm case statuses, facilitate public announcements, and keep Othram informed of all case updates

Required Experience

  • Experience selling advanced solutions to government customers
  • Ability to understand customer's unmet needs and translate these to product the owner/developer for action
  • Proven experience managing multiple accounts (ideally 50 or more)
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time for client meetings and/or industry events within the territory
  • Strong skills in documenting, tracking, and updating account information efficiently within a CRM system
  • Understanding of revenue-driven models tied to case submissions and performance
  • Adept at explaining technical concepts/problems to clients and stakeholders

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with DNA testing, specifically in forensics
  • GTM/product launch experience
  • Exceptional customer service skills, particularly in high-stakes scenarios
  • Background in advising on case strategies and collaborating with clients to achieve resolutions
