Landscape Construction Foreman

The Landscape Construction Foreman is a hands-on field leader responsible for executing work safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality. This role is best suited for an experienced tradesperson who leads from the front—working alongside the crew, operating equipment, and guiding daily production.

The Foreman works closely with Superintendents and Project Managers to plan and execute work, coordinate resources, and maintain schedule momentum. From time to time, this position may lead smaller projects under the direction of a Superintendent.

Lead and actively participate in daily construction activities alongside field crews

Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment as required

Assign daily tasks based on crew capabilities, schedule needs, and site conditions

Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor activities

Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work

Maintain productivity, quality, and workmanship standards

Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements

Conduct daily safety briefings and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)

Track daily production, manpower, and completed quantities

Identify material needs in advance to prevent delays

Serve as the primary point of contact for field coordination with trade partners

Support Superintendents with short-term planning and look-ahead scheduling

Assist with punch work, quality control, and close-out activities

5+ years of commercial construction or landscape construction experience

2+ years in a foreman or lead-man role

Strong ability to read and understand construction documents

Solid understanding of jobsite safety and OSHA regulations

Proven experience leading crews while remaining hands-on in the work

Experience operating skid steers, compact loaders, mini-excavators, and similar equipment

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

OSHA 10 (or willingness to obtain)

First Aid / CPR certification

Experience with commercial projects such as healthcare, retail, office, or industrial facilities

Familiarity with small-project leadership or phased work execution

Ability to perform physical labor in an active jobsite environment

Lift up to 75 lbs

Active commercial construction sites with exposure to noise, dust, heavy equipment, and fast-paced schedules.
