Position OverviewThe Employee Relations Partner serves as a direct point of contact for a specified business area leadership group and drives advanced and specialized performance management‑related projects and initiatives. With minimal guidance, the ER Partner maintains a neutral position and consistent approach to Digi Key’s policies and procedures in order to mitigate risk and align work to meet business needs. The role provides strong partnership on performance management, disciplinary processes, restructuring activity, legal issues, investigations, and conflict management, and promotes a positive culture within the business.
Responsibilities- Executes business plans and contributes to the development of functional strategy.
- Develops and drives cross‑functional goals and objectives.
- Develops, revises, interprets, and implements policies.
- Acts as an internal consultant by analyzing and recommending solutions to HR issues relating to the assigned business unit or program.
- Manages and escalates complex leave cases, reasonable accommodation, employment law, TPA partnerships, case management, and return to work matters.
- Ensures the assigned business unit or program complies with established policies and procedures.
- Assists in the planning and organizing of the assigned business unit or program.
- Prepares and maintains special internal and external reports as requested by the immediate supervisor.
- Answers nonroutine requests for information on policy interpretation.
- Assists with developing, coordinating, and recommending changes for the improvement of workflow in the assigned business unit or program.
- Develops methods and procedures for compiling and analyzing data for reports and special projects.
- Conducts periodic audits of HR activities to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Works on special projects.
- Leads special and cross‑functional project teams.
- Presents training sessions related to the assigned business unit or program as needed.
- Serves as subject‑matter expert in all things HR at Digi Key—systems, tools, processes—and may mentor new ER staff.
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration/Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- 8+ years of Employee Relations or other relevant work experience.
- Well‑versed in the various functions of Digi Key and the industry in which Digi Key operates, and an understanding of the impact and responsibility Digi Key has to the community.
- Strong representation of Digi Key brand and its principles.
- Strong knowledge of the Digi Key brand and its principles.
- 4+ years of Digi Key experience in an employee relations or related role.
- HR related certifications such as SHRM‑CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR.

- Generally spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices such as keyboard, mouse, and screen.
- Generally perform repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of the body.
The base pay range for this position is $70,000 to $95,000.
Many factors influence the determination of base pay within a range, including the candidate’s work experience in related roles; knowledge, skills, capabilities, and performance; relative pay of other Digi Key employees in similar roles; and the budget available for the position.
