Arctic Cat is one of the most iconic names in powersports. We are adding to our team now with the hiring of a Product Technologist to construct parts and assemblies. The Product Technologist will conceptualize future products through development of working models. Develop accurate and concise records of assignments, assemble prototype parts using layouts, detail drawings or sketches. Maintain prototype parts in proper operating condition and perform field development and evaluation of snow and/or offroad powersports equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble product according to design, and develop and fabricate new prototype parts and assemblies. Assure completeness and accuracy of all fabrications and assembly jobs.
  • Test and evaluate product according to consumer use profile.
  • Efficiently complete assignments according to development schedules, cost objectives and management’s directions.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of development work and field evaluation.
  • Provide timely and concise design detail and construction information to Product Design Team.
  • Assure confidentiality and security of sensitive designs, costing, test data, prototype models and product plans.
  • Continually review designs for cost effectiveness material strengths, manufacturing efficiency and maximum quality.
  • Identify new product and/or features that improve customer satisfaction, reduce costs and keep product line at the forefront of the industry.
  • Continually improve product development process for quickest market entry with improved quality, competitive features and least cost.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    high school diploma or GED required;
    Associate degree or mechanical/electrical degree preferred.
  • Proficient in interpreting blueprints.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and punctual.
  • Knowledge of ATV’s, ROV’s, or snowmobiles.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Be able to travel for testing up to 2 weeks at a time.
  • Possess riding and evaluation skills for ATV’s, ROV’s, or Snowmobiles.
