This is a busy and rewarding position, offering a mix of customer service, purchasing, order coordination and production planning. You'll be responsible for ensuring customer orders progress smoothly, materials are available when required, and production schedules are effectively coordinated to meet customer expectations.
We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys working in a fast paced environment. You'll be a confident communicator with excellent attention to detail, capable of managing multiple priorities whilst building strong working relationships both internally and externally.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing customer orders from receipt through to completion
Acting as the main point of contact for a portfolio of customers, providing updates and resolving queries
Raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers to ensure materials arrive on time
Monitoring stock levels and coordinating the availability of raw materials and packaging
Supporting production planning by maintaining schedules and ensuring work can be completed to agreed timescales
Working closely with production teams to respond to changing priorities and minimise delays
Maintaining accurate information on the company's ERP system
Producing reports and highlighting any issues that could impact customer orders
Identifying opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency
Desirable, but not essential skills/experience:
Previous experience within purchasing, planning, order management, customer service or a manufacturing environment
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and experience using an ERP system
The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
Experience with in manufacturing would be advantageous, although candidates with transferable experience from similar environments are also encouraged to apply
