Key Responsibilities and DutiesRole Overview
Twisted Automotive is seeking an experienced and proactive Parts Manager to lead the procurement, inventory control, storage, and distribution of parts across our production, service, and development operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the right parts are available at the right time to support vehicle builds, servicing, warranty work, and research and development activities. This role is critical in minimising production delays, maintaining inventory accuracy, developing supplier relationships, and driving continuous improvement within our parts operation.
- Source and purchase automotive components, accessories, and consumables in line with production and workshop requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, lead times, and service levels.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and supplier agreements.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery or quality issues promptly.
- Identify alternative suppliers and solutions for obsolete or long lead‑time parts.
- Manage stock levels to ensure availability while minimising excess inventory.
- Conduct regular stock counts and cycle checks.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within Odoo.
- Monitor slow‑moving and obsolete stock and recommend corrective actions.
- Work closely with Production and development teams to ensure all build requirements are met.
- Prioritise parts supply according to production schedules and customer deadlines.
- Coordinate urgent Vehicle Off Road (VOR) requirements.
- Support project planning by identifying potential supply chain risks and recommending mitigation measures.
- Maintain accurate part numbers, Bills of Materials (BOMs), pricing, and supplier information within Odoo.
- Develop and improve parts processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Produce reports on stock performance, purchasing activity, supplier performance, and inventory value.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the parts function.
- Manage and develop Parts Department personnel.
- Set objectives and performance standards for the team.
- Provide coaching, training, and support to ensure departmental success.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Manage parts budgets and purchasing expenditure.
- Monitor stock value and inventory turnover.
- Review purchasing trends and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
- Ensure purchase orders, invoices, and supplier accounts are processed accurately and efficiently.
The Candidate

- Eligibility to work in the UK, no sponsorship will be offered
- Previous experience in automotive parts management, stores management, or supply chain operations.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles.
- Experience managing suppliers and procurement activities.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
