The Role
We are looking for a Hygiene Operative to join our Manufacturing site in Thirsk, to maintain hygiene standards based on CIC’S, SOP’S and company procedures, ensuring all requirements for food safety, quality, legality and customer are met.
On Offer- £13.03 per hour = £32,523 per annum
- 48 hours per week (Monday to Thursday between 06:00 and 16:00, Friday 06:00 – 14:00)
- Monthly pay last Friday of each month.

Please note there is no public transport routes to our factory, therefore you will need your own transport!

Key Responsibilities of the Hygiene Operative- To complete scheduled cleaning requirements to CIC’S standard.
- To maintain daily, weekly & periodic sign‑off records ensuring correct and accurate completion.
- To complete all hygiene operations in accordance with Health & Safety including COSHH, product safety, legality & quality requirements.
- Promote clean as you go and work to these standards daily.
- To always wear PPE correctly: hairnet, safety shoes, overalls, chemical‑resistant gloves, safety glasses and other required PPE.
- Understand pest awareness and report any activity to your Line Manager.
- To ensure a proactive approach is made towards Hygiene requirements and strive to be multiskilled.
- Demonstrate knowledge of all cleaning equipment and materials and maintain to a high standard.
- Ensure that a safe working environment exists for all colleagues and that the department meets the standards set out in the safety, health and environment policy.
- Previous experience in same or similar role.
- Basic knowledge of Health and Safety.
- Ability to complete tasks thoroughly.
- Understanding of basic food safety.
- Overtime.
