Maintenance Engineer

Maintenance Engineer - North Yorkshire - Up to £42,000

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this day‑shift position plays a key role in providing engineering support to our production team, ensuring our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently and the repair of all plant equipment.

• Salary - £42,000
• 4 x 10‑hour shifts
• Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

• A recognised qualification or apprenticeship in mechanical and electrical engineering.
• Time‑served qualification and minimum 2 years' experience in a maintenance engineering role.
• Strong working knowledge of pneumatic and electrical control systems.
• Experience with product transfer systems (elevators, drag‑chain, auger feed systems).
• Skilled in troubleshooting and fault‑finding.
• Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Mechanically biased background preferred.

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Perform planned, preventative, and corrective maintenance tasks in line with maintenance systems.
• Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, conducting root cause analyses.
• Provide technical support for production and quality processes.
• Maintain accurate shift records and documentation.
• Deliver detailed breakdown reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and standards.
