If you complete your Duke of Edinburgh volunteering with us you will be helping our team with the day to day running of our shops. Last year, our shops raised millions – we couldn’t do this without our amazing volunteers!
Whatyou will be doing
- Greeting the customers and helping the customers
- Sorting donated items to quality check them before they go on sale
- Ensuring donated goods are in top condition
- Help with pricing items ready for display
- Housekeeping in the stock room
- Replenishing stock on the shop floor
- Interest in the shop and enthusiasm for raising money through its work
- Ability to work as part of a team and get along with other volunteers
- High standards to ensure all items displayed for sale are of top quality
- Willingness to help with a range of tasks in the shop and to undertake tasks as requested
- Variety of experience for your CV
- New skills such as customer service, communication and team working
- Meeting new people and getting involved with your local community
- Training provided, including our GUEST customer service training
- Helping more pets in need
This volunteering role is for a fixed term of 6 months for individuals completing their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award. You’ll need to make sure you complete the required number of hours to ensure we can sign your award off. The minimum age for this role is 15 years old.
