Position: Logistics Operative
Type: Permanent, Site-based, 48 hours per week (Monday to Thursday)
Shift pattern: Rotating days and nights – 06:00-18:00 / 18:00-06:00
Pay: £15.07 per hour, including shift allowance
Pay date: Paid monthly on the last Friday of each month
Key Responsibilities- Supply production departments with raw and packaging materials to maintain continuous production.
- Locate finished goods from production areas into the warehouse for storage until dispatch.
- Pick, assemble and load outgoing deliveries in line with loading and dispatch paperwork.
- Unload incoming vehicles and store materials safely within the warehouse.
- Maintain stock accuracy and follow FIFO stock rotation principles.
- Complete scanning and warehouse documentation accurately.
- Ensure FLT equipment is checked and fit for purpose before use, reporting any damage through the correct channels.
- Work safely at all times and promote a people‑safe culture by following health and safety procedures and reporting concerns appropriately.
- Support colleague training and act as a buddy for new starters when required.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across the warehouse environment.
- Good standard of education; demonstrate good literacy and numerical skills and be able to understand, communicate and report clearly in English.
- Experience working within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Hold a Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck licence, or be willing to undertake training.
- Be IT literate and able to accurately complete warehouse scanning and stock systems.
- Work independently and within a fast‑paced team environment.
- Lift and move products safely, and work on your feet for long periods.
- Have your own transport due to shift times and site location.
- Undertake training and assist with the training of other colleagues when required.
