Manager – Admissions

Position Overview
The Manager – Admissions will be responsible for planning, managing, and driving student
enrollment across multiple schools role requires strong networking capabilities with
schools and colleges across Kerala, a deep understanding of the regional higher education
ecosystem, and excellent communication and organizational skills. The incumbent will collaborate
closely with internal stakeholders to achieve admission targets while ensuring a seamless, student
- centric admissions experience.
Key Responsibilities
Admissions Process Management
● Manage the end-to-end admissions process, including application screening, eligibility
verification, and academic qualification assessment.
● Facilitate admission decisions in accordance with university policies and regulatory
guidelines.
● Provide accurate information and guidance to prospective students and parents, including
documentation and eligibility support.
Outreach and Networking
● Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, colleges, and educational consultants
across Kerala.
● Represent the University at school visits, education fairs, exhibitions, and information
sessions within the state.
● Proactively engage with key stakeholders to promote GITAM programs and strengthen
brand visibility in Kerala.
Performance and Target Achievement
● Achieve and exceed assigned admission targets through effective student engagement and
conversion strategies.
● Track, analyze, and report application and conversion metrics to management on a regular
basis.
Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
● Serve as the primary point of contact for students, parents, schools, and external partners
throughout the admissions cycle.
● Prepare admission-related reports, insights, and presentations for institutional leadership.
● Address and resolve admission-related queries in a timely, professional, and student
- friendly manner.
Team Collaboration and Coordination
● Work closely with academic departments, marketing, and operations teams to streamline
admissions workflows and timelines.
● Foster a collaborative, performance-driven work culture focused on accountability and
results.
Operational Excellence
● Stay updated on higher education trends, admission best practices, and regulatory
requirements relevant to Kerala.
● Utilize MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation, reporting, data
analysis, and presentations.
● Ensure strict adherence to university policies, standards, and admission deadlines.
Qualifications and Skills
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Management, or a relevant discipline.
● 5–7 years of experience in admissions or related roles, preferably in the higher education
sector.
● Mandatory experience working in Kerala, with strong local school and college networks.
● Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with educational institutions across the
state.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
● Strong organisational and time-management abilities in a fast-paced environment.
● High proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
● Self-motivated, target-oriented, and a strong team player with a positive attitude.
Preferred Experience
● Experience handling admissions for Computer Science and Engineering, Business or other
specialised academic programs.
Experience organizing or participating in education fairs, outreach initiatives, and school
engagement programs across Kerala.
