Job Summary

As an Academic Mentor, your mission is to drive student success within our Integrated Studies Program (ISP). This is a residential program, and you will stay in the hostel with students, acting as their primary academic guide and support system. You will be the bridge between academic rigor and personal development, ensuring every student navigates the curriculum with confidence and achieves holistic growth.

Roles and Responsibilities

Strategic Mentorship:

Build meaningful, trust-based relationships with students. Help them manage time effectively, set academic targets, and facilitate enrichment activities within their daily schedule.

Performance Analytics:

Closely monitor student progress. If performance or attendance dips, collaborate with ISP faculty to design and implement personalized intervention plans.

Parent-Academic Liaison:

Maintain proactive communication with parents. Lead progress reviews and provide actionable insights on supporting students’ academic demands.

Day-to-Day Coordination:

Ensure students remain engaged and productive on campus while maintaining discipline and routine in the residential environment.

Data Management:

Maintain accurate records of academic milestones, attendance, and behavioural trends using digital platforms.

Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

Residential Commitment:

Willingness to stay in the hostel with students as part of the residential mentoring program.

Interpersonal Excellence:

Ability to connect with teenagers and professionally interact with parents and educators.

Communication:

Malayalam proficiency is a strong advantage for community engagement in Alappuzha.

Technical Proficiency:

Comfortable with computer systems, especially Microsoft Excel (tracking) and Word (reporting).

Mindset:

Highly organized, patient, and passionate about student growth in a competitive academic environment.
