Role Definition

The  Assistant Professor  for  Computer Science Engineering & Information Technology  plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality education, conducting impactful research, and fostering innovation in teaching and industry-aligned training. The role is designed to guide students in academic and professional growth while contributing to the continuous improvement of the Computer Science and IT department through research, mentorship, and collaboration.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

ME/MTech in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) or Information Technology (IT).

Experience:

Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience at the collegiate level and a strong track record of research and publication in reputable journals.

Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching and Instruction
Deliver engaging, high-quality instruction for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in  Computer Science Engineering  and  Information Technology .
Utilize innovative teaching methods to ensure students develop critical thinking and technical skills.

2. Industry-Related Training and Development
Design and conduct industry-aligned training programs to equip students with practical skills required in the job market.
Develop modules focused on emerging technologies such as  Artificial Intelligence ,  Cyber security ,  Data Science , and  Cloud Computing .
Partner with industry experts to integrate real-world scenarios and case studies into academic learning.

3. Research and Scholarship
Conduct and publish high-impact research in reputable journals and conferences.
Mentor students on research projects, fostering a culture of inquiry and innovation.

4. Student Mentorship
Provide academic advising and career guidance, supporting students’ academic progress and long-term professional goals.
Assist students in developing research proposals and participating in academic competitions or conferences.

5. Laboratory Oversight
Design, supervise, and improve laboratory sessions to give students hands-on experience with the latest tools and techniques.
Ensure that lab sessions complement theoretical instruction and support practical skill development.

6. Assessment and Evaluation
Prepare and evaluate exams, assignments, and projects to measure student learning outcomes effectively.
Provide constructive feedback to students and ensure assessments align with course objectives.

7. Committee Participation
Contribute to academic and administrative committees, supporting departmental and institutional governance.
Participate in decision-making processes regarding curriculum changes, student welfare, and departmental policies.

8. Professional Development
Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with advancements in  Computer Science  and  Information Technology .
Attend workshops, seminars, and conferences to enhance teaching and research capabilities.

9. Community Engagement
Participate in outreach programs to promote the department and its offerings.
Develop collaborations with local industries and academic communities to enhance the department’s visibility and impact.
