Quality Control Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform dimensional checks on products per QC procedures.
Work with production to correct deficiencies.
Perform concrete tests, generate reports, and maintain legible records.
Conduct checks on all raw material components and their locations in the product.
Collaborate with production employees to address deficiencies prior to casting.
Conduct post-production checks to ensure all products are cast per specifications and labeled correctly before shipping to the job site.
Examine dry finished processes on products for compliance with specifications such as sandblast and water wash.
Prepare and distribute deficiency or rejection reports when appropriate.
Conduct other quality and material tests as required, such as rock and sand tests.
Perform concrete cylinder compression tests.

Skills and Knowledge:
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Computer literacy (Windows – Word and Excel).
Ability to maintain a positive attitude under stressful and changing conditions.
Ability to read and comprehend prints and piece tickets.

Qualifications and Experience:
High School Graduate with technical classes a plus.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
ACI and/or PCI certified or capable of becoming certified.
Basic print reading and comprehension skills.

Physical Requirements:
Able to handle stress.
Able to work long hours when needed.
Must be able to climb on ladders, forms, and trailers to check setups and products.

Work Environment:
Office environment and outside production areas.
Work environment includes hot or cold climates.
Job requires checking products and production beds while climbing on ladders or trailers.
