If you are an experienced Sawmill and Planer Mill Utility with a passion for safety, sustainability and quality, you may be the person we’re looking for. We are currently hiring a Sawmill and Planer Mill Utility- 2nd Shift at our Westervelt Lumber Thomasville facility.

• Utilize tools to clean up in sawmill, planer mill, shipping, or Kilns.
• Perform daily clean up tasks around equipment in sawmill.
• Learn various jobs within the sawmill in order to break out operators.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds.
• Ability to work from elevated positions using required safety gear and procedures.
• Ability to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for extended periods of time.
• Able to work in a variety of environmental conditions.
