Pharmacy Technician - Pharmacy Oncology Drugs Responsibilities

• Fill employee prescriptions and physician orders for pharmacist review
• Utilize the order imaging system appropriately and accurately input patient orders
• Deliver medications to nursing units and exchange carts in a timely manner
• Submit filing information accurately and in a timely manner
• Receive, price, and stock drug orders and store appropriately
• Verify invoice receipts for accuracy
• Routinely check for drug expirations of regular pharmacy stock, floor stock, and cabinets
• Check and record quality assurance information (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, unit check visits, flow hood cleaning, etc.)
• Answer phone and emails promptly and courteously

• Completion of pharmacy program preferred
• Certification preferred but mandatory after first year of employment
• Two years of experience as pharmacy tech preferred

• Two years of experience as pharmacy tech preferred
