Shift: 8am - 5pm - Monday - Saturday Permanent Position Thomasville, GA

Job Requirements Peer Specialist
  • 2 years experience working in Social Service
  • Must have a SA dx with minimum of 1 yr sobriety
  • High School Diploma/GED
Job Description
  • CARES or become CARES certified with in 6 months
  • Provide peer to peer services
  • Case management services related to treatment needs
  • Facilitate groups
  • Provide linkage and advocacy
  • Complies with ATC policies/procedures.
  • Complies with client facility policies/procedures.
  • Maintains confidentiality relative to patient care and facility practices in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Communicates information effectively to appropriate personnel.
  • Assists with collection of specimens; takes and records vital signs; and assists with feeding of patients.
  • Documents patient care as assigned in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
  • Follows the patient's treatment plan as assigned.
  • Maintains competency by participating in continuing education programs and meets state specific requirements.
  • Provides patient care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that considers cultural diversity and age appropriateness so that autonomy, rights, and dignity are preserved.
