Senior Project Manager - Information Services

The Senior Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects to support our clinical and business units. This role focuses on IT application integrations, implementations, and upgrades in a complex Healthcare IT organization.

Responsibilities
  • Apply industry standard methodologies (e.g., Project Management Institute [PMI]) to ensure adherence to project management standards.
  • Coordinate, plan, support, and execute enterprise-wide IT projects.
  • Create project charters and analyze business cases to validate and clarify issues, justify use of resources, and anticipate risks.
  • Provide feedback, advice, project updates, and encouragement to team members.
  • Manage deadlines, push the team to ensure timeliness.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as needed.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities, including motivation techniques and conflict management.
  • Maintain computer literacy for productivity and project management tools.
  • Conduct project management research and study trends under the direction of the PMO Director.
  • Manage time using calendar management and goal setting.
Qualifications

REQUIRES Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Information Technology, Business, Health Information Management, or a related health care field from an accredited college or university OR equivalent work experience.

REQUIRES minimum 5 years’ experience in information services or equivalent experience in a related field.

Healthcare experience preferred. Certain positions may require experience in a specialty (such as lab, pharmacy, financials, or materials management).

Work Environment

Work is largely sedentary, with occasional standing and walking. Reaches, handles, lifts, and carries heavy books, manuals, and listings, which seldom exceed twenty pounds in weight. May be required to work prolonged or irregular hours, attend occasional meetings. Hours are generally 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday but weekend and after-hours work is occasionally required.
