1st shift: Part-Time Assembly​/Packing; M-F

Overview

Check‑Mate Manufacturing LLC, a subsidiary of Check‑Mate Industries, is located in Thomasville, GA. For 40 years the company has produced high‑precision tools, stamping and assemblies for industries such as healthcare and personal security. We are seeking a 1st Shift Part‑Time Assembler/Packer to join our team of 10. This position will assembly, pack and inspect firearm magazines and support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Assemble firearm magazine parts (handles, blades, gears, springs) using precision tools.
• Follow detailed work instructions, guides, and tolerances.
• Perform riveting, bolt tightening and screwing using hand‑tools, pneumatic presses, or drill presses.
• Inspect assembled parts for quality and accuracy, identify defects, and rework or report as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized assembly line, supporting 5S and LEAN practices.
• Pack finished parts for shipment and maintain accurate documentation.
• Communicate with line supervisors and teammates during shift changes to ensure continuity.

• Minimum age 18, or enrolled in the Work‑Based Learning Program.
• Fine motor dexterity and the ability to use micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Basic problem‑solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Adaptability, multitasking ability, analytical thinking.
• Read and follow production instructions accurately.

• 20 hours per week – Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
• 24 hours per week – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

$15.00 per hour, paid weekly.
