CLEAVER BROOKS is looking for a 1st Shift Welder to join our team in Thomasville, GA

Schedule/Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 a.m.

- 2:30 p.m.), plus overtime

Basic Function:
Fabricate, layout, position, align, and fit parts of structural metal products.

• Proficient with cutting torch and ability to carbon arc gouge.
• Ability to use and read measuring devices such as tape measures, levels, etc.
• Read, understand, and work from blueprints and/or process sheets.
• Display basic welding skills and demonstrate a willingness and desire to learn the welding trade.
• Pass basic ASME certification tests within a given time frame.
• Know, understand, and abide by all plant safety rules and regulations.

Technical training from an accredited school or six (6) months of related welding experience.

Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. chest high on a regular basis. Work up to 12 hours standing and walking on hard cement surface, and be required to regularly bend, stretch, stoop, squat, and climb ladders up to 8 feet high. Work in areas up to 15 feet from the ground and in temperature ranges corresponding with the outside ambient temperatures.

Access all areas of the plant both inside and outside. Work may be exposed to noise, dust, welding fumes, and machine lubricants or oils.

Must be able and willing to work with and properly use all necessary PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed shoes, and fall protection.
