Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown unit position requiring strong telemetry skills and a GA or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital Stepdown unit (CPU)
- Night shifts, 3x12 hours, 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
- Every other weekend and holiday shifts required
- Patient care involves intermediate/advanced FM skills, telemetry monitoring, and IV starts
- EMR system is Cerner
- Royal blue scrubs required (not provided)
- Assignment is 13 weeks with possible extension
- Must provide two professional references for consideration
- Minimal to no requested time off accepted during contract
- Travelers living under 30 miles from the facility are not eligible; local rate applies for candidates residing 31-50 miles away
- Royal blue scrub color must be worn in the unit
- Active GA or compact RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 3 years of recent Stepdown experience required
- Experience with telemetry and IV starts required
- EMR Cerner experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Driver’s license and updated Nurseys required for residence verification
