Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for an Oncology floor assignment requiring GA or compact RN license and recent Med/Surg experience with higher patient ratios.

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum two years of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Experience with higher patient ratios required
• Telemetry and IV start skills required
• Oncology experience highly preferred
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred

• Medical Surgical unit on an Oncology floor
• Patient ratio of 1:6 to 1:7
• Day shift, 4x12 hours (7:00 AM-7:00 PM), every other weekend required
• 3x12 schedules preferred, 4x12 also considered
• Block scheduling considered
• Uses Cerner and Soarian EMR systems
• Royal blue scrubs required (not provided)
• Minimal to no requested time off, especially around holidays
• Local candidates within 31-50 miles of the facility accepted at a reduced local rate
• Candidates living less than 30 miles from the facility will not be considered
• First-time travelers may be considered
