Overview

Flygt Solutions, a Xylem brand, is seeking a results-driven Sales Representative to grow revenue by promoting our Flygt brand solutions and services. Join a global leader in water technology and make a meaningful impact in your territory (southern Georgia). You’ll leverage your technical expertise and product knowledge to solve customer challenges in fluid handling and develop and sell Flygt pumping systems, aftermarket services, and solutions tailored to the wastewater treatment and collection markets.

Responsibilities
  • Maximize financial performance of the region by expanding the sales of Xylem’s Flygt brand solutions and services.
  • Grow the sales volume of territory accounts in compliance with all company policies; solicit orders by developing construction marketing data leads, answering requests for quotation, cold calling, and other means.
  • Apply application technologies to drive specifications and provide pumps, services and solutions; seek new uses for company products.
  • Work with Marketing to drive bid reporting services and lead management; build company image to drive new opportunities and brand recognition within the territory.
  • Grow and maintain an effective sales pipeline utilizing
  • Identify, develop, and implement local marketing strategies to expand penetration of Xylem’s products in assigned business.
  • Build consultative relationships with municipal end users, consultant engineering firms, and utility contractors to position Flygt solutions and win projects.
  • Create synergy opportunities for cross-business consultative selling based on understanding the Xylem solution set.
  • Monitor competitive products and practices and report market conditions and trends to management.
  • Prepare and assist with sales reports (bids, proposals, quotes, forecasts, expense reports, SFDC engagement). Submit special reports to create white papers and showcase wins as required.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings, trainings, sales blitzes, conventions and trade shows; participate in community public relations activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor online bid services and funding sources to maintain awareness of opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Technical experience and degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of sales or sales-related experience (pump or process industry preferred).
  • General knowledge of mechanical and pumping designs; hydraulics, pneumatics, water flow, electric motors related to pumps and pumping systems.
  • Previous experience using  or other CRMs strongly preferred.
  • Ability to present product education seminars to municipal end users and consultant engineers to drive specification of Flygt equipment.
  • Knowledge of consultative/value-based selling to municipal end users, consultant engineers and utility contractors.

The estimated total target compensation range for this position is $105,000 to $125,000 plus a company car plan and paid expenses. Starting pay depends on factors such as skills, experience and location.
