Basic Function–Project Manager- Strategic Accounts
- This position within Cleaver-Brooks reports to the Director of Strategic Operations.
The primaryresponsibilityof this position is to work directly with Cleaver-Brooks strategic account customerstooverseeandmanagecapital equipment projects beginning from order acceptance andcontinuingthrough field commissioning.
- Collaborate across internal business units and disciplines to ensure the strategic account projects are cross functionally supported.
- Create, manage,maintain,and deliver periodic (daily, weekly, monthly, annual) reports highlighting project milestones and status.
- Possess effective organizational and communication skills,both written and oral, whicharecriticalfor this position when working with the internal disciplines, the customer, authorizedsalesrepresentativesand independent service contractors
- Responsible for thoroughly understanding and communicating the Strategic Account project requirements and key milestonestoappropriate team members and for managing those requirements accordingly.
- Establish clear ownership and time schedules for project tasks. Ensure that team members have the tools neededand providetimelyfeedback on project activityincludingproject status, issues, and risks to management. Must be able tofacilitatediscussion and progress while proactively taking the necessary action to achieve thedepartmentgoals.
- Track progress and review project tasks tomeetdeadlinesandidentifypotential risks tomaintainingthe deadlines while proactively offering options for resolution.
- Possess an understanding of thetechnicalrequirements and be prepared to addressissuesifthe need arises, promote solutions, and elevateandla in a timelymannerwhen necessary.
- Work collaboratively withthe product and project management teamstomaintainthorough knowledge of product capabilities and applications.
Education
Bachelor’s degree (BS) from four-year college or university in
Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, Electrical Engineering. Project Management experiencea plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience showing an exemplary record of managing multiple large capital equipment projects over several months to a successful completion.
- Preferred experience with capital equipment fabrication,construction and/or field installation and commissioning.
- Preferred experience with understanding technical information,drawings,and documentation.
- Experience with project management software,ability to interpret engineering (mechanical / electrical) drawings, P&’s, technical specifications, and CRM systems(Salesforce preferred)
