Primary ObjectiveOperate gasoline or electric‑powered industrial trucks equipped with forklift and/or elevated platform to move materials.
Major Function and Scope- Operate gasoline‑ or electric‑powered trucks to transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
- Operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams, swivel‑hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
- Move pallets, skids, boxes, and paper roll stock, and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
- Unload and load raw materials from flatbed and van trailers.
- Dump, spray, or release materials into hoppers.
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment.
- Complete daily Vehicle Condition Report.
- Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, cars, conveyors, or lifting devices.
- Operate or tend automatic stacking, loading, packaging, or cutting machines.
- Weigh materials or products and record weight and other production data as required.
- Operate and follow instructions as directed by an onboard RF unit.
- Record quality and output measures and complete any other necessary paperwork.
- Attend any job‑related training deemed necessary by supervision.
- Follow all established standard operating procedures.
- Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
- Perform other tasks assigned by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior forklift experience required.
- Prior experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with others in the immediate work unit and in related support areas.
- Ability to operate Warehouse Management Systems via stationary and onboard computers.
- Demonstrated skills relating to time management and attention to detail.
- This position requires the team member to work with machinery in an environment where there may be fluctuating temperatures, and additional department‑specific variables.
- Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required, and may include hearing protection, safety shoes, high‑visibility clothing, and eye protection.
- Other working conditions may include working 12‑hour shifts and a fixed shift rotation, including holidays.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Walking, bending, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs are required.
