Blown Film Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various manufacturing processes, including plastics blow molding, injection molding, and machining. This role requires mechanical knowledge, the ability to operate CNC machines, and proficiency with precision measuring instruments. The Operator will be responsible for ensuring the quality of products while adhering to safety standards and lean manufacturing practices.

• Operate and monitor machinery including CNC lathe, press brake machine, and plastics extrusion equipment.
• Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure product specifications are met.
• Perform assembly tasks as required, ensuring all components are fabricated correctly.
• Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine operation and troubleshooting.
• Handle materials efficiently within the warehouse environment, ensuring proper storage and organization.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to improve manufacturing processes through lean manufacturing techniques.
• Use hand tools effectively for various tasks related to fabrication and assembly.

• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on machining or fabrication.
• Familiarity with plastics blow molding, injection molding, and extrusion processes is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues independently.
• Experience operating forklifts and other materials handling equipment is preferred.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating attention to detail.
