Machine Operator - Impregnation Department

Assist in packaging laminate flooring panels by training to operate various automated industrial machinery components on production lines to meet the required quality specifications.

• Responsible for quality inspections and testing throughout shift, with attention to identifying quality and manufacturing defects.
• Gain understanding of correct parameters specific to Packaging Department processes in order to minimize defect opportunities and apply knowledge to increase production output.
• Train to perform necessary adjustments to production line via feedback from automated systems monitoring and product specifications.
• Adhere to Company and Department standards regarding documentation, set up procedures, production procedures, and quality guidelines.
• Abide by documentation standards and catalogue adherence to production procedures, including shift reports and varying checklists.
• Understand and follow all Company and Department safety policies, including personal protective equipment and alternate work procedures.
• Attend any job‑related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating procedures.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.

• High School diploma or equivalent (required).
• 1+ year experience in a manufacturing setting (preferred).
• 1+ year familiarity with production mechanical systems (preferred).
• 1+ year training in quality processes or procedures (preferred).
• Proficient computer literacy necessary to complete various tasks.
• Ability to troubleshoot independently through use of problem‑solving skills and critical thinking.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team setting, including communication with various other Departments via radio, phone, and in‑person conversations.

• This position requires the team member to work with machinery in an environment where there may be fluctuating temperatures and additional department‑specific variables.
• Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required and may include hearing protection, safety shoes, high‑visibility clothing, and eye protection.
• Other working conditions may include working 12‑hour shifts and a fixed shift rotation, including holidays.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.; walking, bending, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs are required.
