Thomasville Medical Center is seeking an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to join our 48-bed Med-Surg/Cardiac Tele unit. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Med-Surg RN ready to grow into a leadership role while remaining connected to patient care and the nursing team.
What You'll Do
- Support daily staffing and scheduling
- Assist with performance evaluations and staff development
- Serve as charge nurse as needed
- Provide clinical support and mentorship to nurses
- Step into staffing and patient care when needed
- Partner with the Nurse Manager on unit operations
- Promote teamwork, quality, safety, and excellent patient care
About the Unit:
Our team cares for a diverse patient population, including medical, cardiac/telemetry, orthopedic, post-operative, and rehabilitation patients.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
- 2+ years of recent Med-Surg experience, required
- Strong communication, leadership, and clinical skills
- Education:
4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. BSN, preferred. Graduate Degree, preferred. - Experience:
Minimum of two years of clinical RN experience, preferred. Prior demonstrated nursing leadership, preferred. - Licensure/Certification:
- Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
- NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
- Unit/Dept Specific Required Certifications.
- Additional Skills (required):
Successful completion of generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Ability to successfully complete Leader Education & Training
