HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

Primary ObjectiveResponsible for conducting scheduled servicing of all facility HVAC systems including exhaust and supply fans, air cooled chillers, and thermal oil boilers.
Major Function and Scope- Monitor, maintain, calibrate, and alter all components of the building HVAC systems.
Maximizes equipment availability using planned maintenance activities.
Collaborate with other departments and vendors to update, design, and install systems as necessary and during expansion projects.
Operation of powered industrial trucks, including but not limited to forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts.
Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
Follow all established standard operating procedures.
Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
Perform other tasks assigned by management.
Types of Experience and KnowledgeHigh school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Driver's License.
5+ years experience in HVAC service and installation preferred.
Relevant licenses and certifications.
Thorough knowledge and understanding in operation and maintenance of all applicable systems.
Heavy industrial machine operation experience, scissor lift and boom operation preferred.
Applied knowledge in the area of life safety, mechanical and building codes.
Thorough knowledge in understanding and utilizing technical service manuals, electrical schematics and blueprints.
Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and other programs as needed.
Familiarity with Trane equipment and programs a plus.
Physical Requirements / Other Pertinent Job InformationThis position requires the team member to work with machinery in an environment where there may be fluctuating temperatures, and additional department-specific variables. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required, and may include hearing protection, safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, and eye protection.
Other working conditions may include working 12 hour shifts and a fixed shift rotation, including holidays.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.; walking, bending, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs are required.
