Heavy Equipment Operator – North Valley

Join a vibrant civil construction team in North Thompson Valley as a Heavy Equipment Operator. This Project Term role offers an engaging work environment with a 14-on, 7-off rotational schedule.

As part of the civil projects team, you will report to the Straw Boss while operating a range of heavy machinery, contributing to site development, and ensuring all tasks are carried out within safety regulations. A strong background in equipment operation and a commitment to maintaining safety standards are key to this role’s success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate various construction equipment safely and effectively

• Execute excavation, grading, and material handling tasks

• Complete equipment inspections and maintenance routines

• Load and transport equipment and materials securely

• Collaborate with crew members to ensure project goals

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years in civil construction

• Class 5 driver's license with clean record

• WHMIS and CSTS certifications are required

• Proven ability to identify equipment hazards and issues

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor
