Branch Librarian at Reid Library

Lead library services for the community as a Branch Librarian at Reid-Thompson Public Library in Humboldt. Oversee operations, manage staff, and engage effectively with local organizations.

As the Branch Librarian, you will be integral to the Wapiti Regional Library, with operational oversight and administrative responsibilities. You will exercise independent judgment while adhering to established procedures, ensuring efficient service delivery. Strong leadership and communication abilities are vital for promoting library initiatives and collaborating with the local board and public.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend board meetings and prepare accurate minutes

• Operate the library efficiently as per Wapiti guidelines

• Prepare statistics, reports, and assist in budget preparation

• Plan and promote library programs and special events

• Participate in staff training and undertake additional duties

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade Twelve or G.E.D. equivalent

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities

• Accurate clerical and bookkeeping skills

• Acceptable Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Checks
